OWLY RHETT MCLAUGHLIN SERIES

#12 Judy I am an apprentice compared to you - my stats show a mere 570 series followed! To be fair some of those series are complete and I dont have the next book in line for many but the choice is still perplexing - anyway I have narrowed down 15 as so: I always have so many more ideas about what to read next, and no longer feel able to read more than a couple in a series before I read something usually quite different. Has anyone else's reading of series changed since participating in these discussions on LT? I used to concentrate on reading every book in the series as quickly as possible once I'd discovered it, but now I find that what with all the suggestions for the wishlist from other people's reading, and the TIOLI challenges encouraging us to explore our TBR shelves, I can't stick to a 'single diet' for long. I only get round to reading one or two books a year in some series. Garth Nix's Keys of the Kingdom series (not rushing to read more as I'm not enjoying these as much as the Abhorsen trilogyĪ McCall Smith's Scotland Street series, and his other series tooĪngela Thirkell's Barsetshire series - just read one, need to get hold of other booksĪnd quite a few more, it seems. Henning Mankell's Kurt Wallander mysteries Margery Allingham's mysteries (all done except for one final re-read and one book written by her husband after her death) - perhaps I should focus on finishing off this series in September.Īgatha Christie's Miss Marple and Poirot series (all new to me, as books at least) Pratchett's discworld comic fantasies (some re-reads)ĭorothy L Sayers' mysteries (most re-reads) The ones I am actively reading or re-reading at present are: #12: 849 does sound rather a lot of series! Even whenb you've discounted the ones you don't think of as series, or the ones you have already completed, that still leaves a lot to continue reading! My library has 183 series only - but I haven't yet worked out how many of those I am still reading my way through. Red Bones by Ann Cleeves (#3 in her Shetland series) The Quilter's Homecoming by Jennifer Chiaverini (#10 in the Elm Creek Quilts series)Īn Irish Country Village by Patrick Taylor (#2 in the Irish Country series) The Quick and the Thread by Amanda Lee (Book 1 in her Embroidery series)ĭeath Assemblage by Susan Cummins Miller (Frankie McFarlane series)ĮTA: A few more I'm thinking of reading in September:Ī Common Life by Jan Karon (#6 in the Mitford series)

I'm also planning to read the first books in three new to me series to complete my 50 states challenge:Ī Free Man of Color by Barbara Hambly (Benjamin January series)Ĭircles of Confusion by April Henry (Claire Montrose mysteries) Where Memories Lie by Deborah Crombie (next up for me in her Duncan Kincaid/Gemma James series) The Snake, the Crocodile, & the Dog (next up for me in Elizabeth Peters' Amelia Peabody series) Murder on Waverly Place by Victoria Thompson (next up for me in her Gaslight Mysteries) Jane and the Madness of Lord Byron by Stephanie Barron (latest in her Jane Austen mysteries) Other series I want to continue reading soon: 30) and One Good turn, the second book in Kate Atkinson's Jackson Brodie series. I'll definitely be reading A Trick of the Light by Louise Penny (releases Aug.

I'm getting close to the end of my 11 in 11 challenge, so I'm sure not all of my September reads will be series books. Of course this isn’t chiseled in stone and could change as I go along.
